DBSA During COVID

DBSA Green Phase Protocols Outdoors – 7/15/2020 (last updated = 8/5/2020)

During this phase, all participants are asked to

• All participants are asked to:
• Please wear a mask covering nose and mouth at all times
• Please remember to cover any coughs or sneezes even while masked
• Please keep to social distancing of 6 feet or more
• Please refrain from snacking or eating during group – there will be no snacks provided
until further notice; sips of water are permissible as long as your mask is only moved
very briefly
• Please bring your own chair
• Please be mindful of the weather, both regarding precipitation and temperature
• There will be tents provided ([2] 17′ x 24′ tents), but please provide your own sun
protection and bug spray

➢ Sign-In Process:
Please arrive during your designated sign-in time:
• 6:30pm for participants with last names starting with A-I (30 min early)
• 6:40pm for participants with last names starting with J-R (20 min early)
• 6:50pm for participants with last names starting with S-Z (10 min early)
• meetings are 1 hour 30 minutes long, please make sure you are prepared to be here
the entire time from sign-in on; there will no official social after the meeting ends
•Please make an effort to be timely as the sign-in process has changed to include
temperature taking and a brief COVID-19 questionnaire
• Please make sure to keep social distancing of 6 feet or more while waiting in the sign-in
line
•The group will provide hand sanitizer but we ask everyone to please provide your own
mask
• If you wish to donate to the DBSA-Lehigh Valley Chapter, please do so at sign-in
➢ Socializing:
• Please be mindful of other group members and their boundaries regarding social
distancing. We realize that it can be difficult to maintain distance while chatting due to
various reasons, but we ask that everyone avoids encroaching on another person’s space
as much as possible

DBSA Green Phase Protocols: Meeting Indoors at First Presbyterian – September 2020 

During this phase, all participants are asked to: 

•Please wear a mask covering nose and mouth at all times 
•Commonwealth of PA requires that masks be worn in all public spaces 
•Please remember to cover any coughs or sneezes even while masked 
•Please keep to social distancing of 6 feet or more 
•Please refrain from snacking or eating during group – there will be no snacks provided until  further notice; sips of water are permissible as long as your mask is only moved very briefly  Please allow your temperature to be taken during the sign-in process; the thermometer will  be sanitized after each use 

Sign-In Process:

•The group will provide hand sanitizer but we ask everyone to please provide your own mask • NOTE: Anyone who refuses or is unable to wear a mask while present on the church  property will be asked to instead participate in our ongoing Zoom meetings online

•If you wish to donate to the DBSA-Lehigh Valley Chapter, please do so at sign-in

•In order to comply with PA’s Green Phase guidelines regarding number of participants  allowed to gather in one place as well as the physical space needed to maintain 6 feet of  social distancing between participants, the following room occupancy guide will be  enforced until further notice: 

• Fellowship Hall – max of 25 people, per Commonwealth of PA  

• NOTE: If there are more people in attendance than we are allowed to accommodate  indoors the overflow will meet outside under the tents 

Socializing: 

•Please be mindful of other group members and their boundaries regarding social  distancing. We realize that it can be difficult to maintain distance while chatting due to  various reasons, but we ask that everyone avoids encroaching on another person’s space  as much as possible 

•Due to the Commonwealth of PA’s prohibition on indoor gatherings of more than 25 people  there will be no officially sanctioned social time after the small group meetings 

Restrooms: 
•We ask that all participants minimize the use of the church’s indoor restrooms as much as  possible due to sanitizing concerns. In order for our group to be allowed to meet on the  church property and use their facilities the church has asked that we help the custodial staff  in the cleaning and disinfecting of any spaces we use. To this end, restrooms will only be  available until 8:15pm. 

•Please remember to wash hands for at least 20 seconds when using the restrooms
